But, if you do, your best option is online because many places are closed.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we were able to determine regarding what’s closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, for Thanksgiving, and in some cases, Nov. 27.
Banks: Closed
CAT: No service.
County government – Dauphin and Lebanon counties are closed on Nov. 26. Adams, Cumberland, Lancaster, Perry and York are closed Nov. 26-27.
Federal government – The Ronald Reagan Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Harrisburg will be closed.
Harrisburg parking – Free Nov. 26-27.
Libraries – Dauphin County Library System, Cumberland County Library System (Coy Public Library is also closed Nov. 27), Lebanon County Library System, closed Nov. 26-27, Hershey Public Library, closed; and Middletown Public Library, closed Nov. 26-27.
Liquor stores – Closed.
Municipal government – Closed.
PA Media Group – Closed.
PennDOT – Closed Nov. 26-27.
Post Office – Closed.
Public schools – Closed.
Rabbittransit – No service.
Retail stores – Some are open.
State government – Closed Nov. 26-27.
Trash collection – Waste Management, Penn Waste, Republic Services – no collection on Thursday, in most cases collections are delayed one day for the rest of the week.
