HARRISBURG, PA (WHTM) – More and more protesters are gathering in downtown Harrisburg to create a standoff between police and protesters.

They made their way near the riot police and started chanting, "Hands up, don't shoot".

Police stand side by side preventing protesters from entering certain areas in downtown Harrisburg.

Some protesters shout profanity at the police. Some even threw bottles and other items at officers.

At least two officers were injured on Saturday after demonstrators started throwing stones and other objects in front of the Capitol.

The protest has remained largely peaceful, although sporadic skirmishes have broken out as the number of protesters continues to grow.
