One man lifeless in Harrisburg taking pictures: police – PennLive

A Harrisburg man was killed early Wednesday morning in Harrisburg, according to police.

William Thornton was identified as the man police found lying in the road at 2:15 a.m., in the area of South 13th and Chestnut streets, according to police.

Thornton was suffering from gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead, police said.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the shooting contact them at 717-558-6900.

Thornton marks the 18th homicide in Harrisburg this year.
