Marsha (Gibbs) Norman-Hill from Harrisburg – The Each day Republican

Marsha (Gibbs) Norman-Hill, 71 years old, went to her heavenly home on Friday April 2, 2021.

Her parents Jess and Brenice Gibbs and the siblings Ann Leinenbach, Richard Hedger, Bobby Hedger, James Gibbs, Leroy Gibbs, Wilson Gibbs and George Gibbs had preceded her death.

Marsha is survived by her three children Patricia, Thomas and Marsha Lynn; her three grandchildren Ashley, Sandra, and McKenzie; and a great grandson, Liam.

Marsha was a graduate of Harrisburg High School and Southeastern Illinois College. She owned two businesses in her life, "Marsha's Cakes and Pies" and a cleaning company. She retired from housekeeping around 2014. She was a member of and known as "Sister Marsha" of the United Pentecostal Church of the River of Life. In her younger years and before the disease ravaged her body, she believed, "When the doors are open, you better be in church!" Marsha never missed a good church service or a good yard sale! "You just never know what you will find," she would say. (And possibly correct about both.)

At 3 p.m. there is a service with social distancing. Saturday April 10, 2021 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Gentry of the United Pentecostal Church of the River of Life will officiate. Robin Johnston will sing two songs Marsha loved to hear!

Instead of flowers, the family is asking for all donations to the United Pentecostal Church in Harrisburg. She loved her church, her church family, and her pastor.

Blessed mom
