Harrisburg bakery proprietor optimistic after enterprise survives one yr of pandemic – BollyInside

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Saturday marks a year since the announcement of the first cases of coronavirus in Midstate.
It’s been a challenging year for Sweet Confections Cakes, but somehow, through all the ups and downs, they’ve managed to keep the business going.
Owner Darmayne Robertson remembers last March as a scary time to own a small business.
“Pure panic, that’s what I remember,” said Robertson. “We have started to receive cancellations, postponements. Then the governor closed everything. “
Her baking business is built around gatherings and helps people celebrate special occasions. The new rules were therefore a devastating blow.
