Christmas Posada in Previous City Harrisburg – 365 Issues to Do in Houston

Old Town Harrisburg presents a free Christmas Posada, featuring Christmas carols, pinata-breaking and a Christmas show in an outdoor event that harkens back to Mexican holiday traditions.

There will also be a curated pop-up market featuring cute and delicious stocking stuffers, along with original holiday gifts. Santa Claus will make an appearance and give out toys during the last hour of the event (while supplies last).

The event is designed to support local handcrafted and small businesses in Harrisburg. Free parking is available.

This event was moved from its original scheduled date on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Social Distancing & COVID-19 Precautions

Attendees should wear face masks and practice social distancing in outdoor space. Hand sanitizer and soap and water will be available. Face masks are required when entering stores, restrooms, and indoor spaces.

Businesses and organizations in Houston have opened under modified protocols, following guidelines administered by local health officials, the State of Texas and CDC. At this time, guidance from experts urges people to continue wearing face masks when in public spaces, practice social distancing of at least six feet, limit your touching of surfaces and frequently use hand sanitizer or soap and water to keep your hands clean.

Before heading out, take time to familiarize with your destination’s requirements or restrictions at this moment, and be sure to contact them ahead of time with any questions or concerns.
